The extent of depradation on longline catches throughout the Indo-Pacific has been summariesed by Nishida and Shiba (2005) and Nishida (2007). Depradation rates of up to 25% were reported for yellowfin tuna within Seychelles waters annually and up to 100% on a daily basis.
