Resolution on the Management of Shark Species
Description
The resolution addresses:
- development of a workplan for stock assessments for silky shark (Carcharhinus falciformis), and hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna lewini, S. zygaena and S. mokarran)
- data collection and submission
- safe handling and release
- prohibition of use of shark (buoy) lines
This Resolution will be replaced by Resolution C-23-07 Conservation Measures for the Protection and Sustainable Management of Sharks, which comes into effect on the 01/07/2024.
