Abstract

The invention relates to a protective device for protecting a fish caught on a hook, said protective device comprising a body and a plurality of elongate protective elements, wherein the plurality of protective elements includes first protective elements having a first buoyancy for being deployed by moving away from the body above the hook and second protective elements having a second buoyancy, which is less than the first buoyancy, for surrounding the hook.
