Abstract
This project aims to construct and test in real fishing condition, a new type of Fish Aggregating Device (FAD). This FAD is non-entangling and biodegradable, which reduce the impact of FADs may have in the environment. It is called a Jelly-FAD as it mirrors jelly fish, drifting naturally in the water column.
This is a three year project of the Western Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC), done in collaboration with International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF)
